K762-2122A   UP & SP Pacific Fruit Express Reefer 4-PAC Union Pacific
    $160.00

The Pacific Fruit Express (PFE) was formed jointly by Union Pacific and Southern Pacific in 1906 to supply the railroads with cars to haul fresh produce from the west coast to eastern markets. In 1950, PFE was operating over 38,000 of these reefers! Operated in solid trains or on the 'head end' of crack passenger trains across the nation, many of these cars served into the 1970's.

Is this the correct photo for this listing? I have the pfe set of 6 yellow reefers? Was this a four pack set of brown cars.

On April 12, 2015 10:19 PM, Dave G thinks that something is not accurate:

K762-2122A - SCALE, UP & SP Pacific Fruit Express Reefer 4-PAK contains 4 yellow reefers, not brown. Set contains K762-21222, 21224 (confirmed) and PROBABLY 21223 and 21225 (but UNconfirmed at this time)

The K762-2032 brown SP boxcar pictured here should have its own listing...
Best,
Dave
