K-4630C   SF Super Chief 4-PAC (18") Santa Fe
    $459.95 ea.

The dieselized Super Chief transported passengers from Chicago to the West Coast in record time and in unique style. The Santa Fe gave their passenger cars Native American inspired names and decorated the car interiors with southwestern style motifs. The use of Native American inspired themes led to what certainly became the most identifiable locomotive paint scheme in the world — the “War Bonnet” livery. The War Bonnet livery was a design representation of the profile of a Native American chief wearing a feather headdress. Santa Fe applied this locomotive paint scheme to the Super Chief Diesel Engines.

The F Units that led the Super Chief in the late 1940s are produced here in O Scale, complete with the stunning war bonnet paint scheme. Additionally, we have reproduced the authentic lightweight steel passengers cars from the Super Chief era here with accurate, 1:48 scale proportions in unprecedented prototypical detail. In order to satisfy the O Scale and the O Gauge operator, K-LINE® is producing these aluminum 4-PACS two ways -- in O Scale (18') and in shortened O Scale (15'). The 18' long cars require O-42 Curves.

Each car is equipped with the StreamLighting® system, the innovative way to realistically illuminate the car interior. A printed circuit board with a series of small bulbs provides brilliant and consistent overhead illumination for each car interior. Each passenger car has a unique interior specific to that car’s body style.
