This black K-951 transformer was in the 1999 Catalog. The K-954 High-Powered AC Transformer with Whistle/Other Control (also 110 Watts, and also $89.95 - looks like the same product in a different color) appeared in the 2000 Catalog.

The K-951 box and rear panel reported output of 0 to 20 Volts AC, and a 40VA (Volt-Amp) maximum output. It has one set of spring-loaded wire terminals on the rear, red (variable) and black (common). There are no separate accessory terminals. The K-954 not only has a silver case, it also features banana plus on the rear. In addition, the K-954 box and rear panel report output of 0 to 20 Volts AC, but with a higher maximum output of 110VA (Volt-Amps).
