These new RS-3s are Scale versions of the popular American Locomotive Company’s RS-3, a 1600-HP Road Switcher. Alco’s RS-3 was a dependable and popular workhorse, accounting for a large percentage of road switcher sales in the US throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Equipped with dual-vertical, flywheel motors these Scale RS-3 Diesels are begging for some railwork. These RS-3s even smoke like their real Alco counterparts!

The Lighting Stripe livery, synonymous with the New York Central, adorns the newest Scale Diesels in the K-LINE® fleet.
