This 70-ton quad hopper is now available in smooth and ribbed varieties. This hefty piece of die cast metal rolling stock is a scale model that represents a car owned by nearly every US railroad. Featuring precise rivet detailing, with separate metal ladders, grab rails, brakewheels and more, these hopper look so real. All cars ride on die cast trucks and are equipped with all metal operating couplers. These hoppers are all available in 4 different road numbers, perfect for running long strings of cars.

This photo takes alittle away from this 2-PAC. This is not a prototypical hopper set. Try to picture the 2 hoppers coupled together. My idea was that it would be creative to have one hopper read "Chessie" and the next would continue "System." It seemed to be alittle unique at the time and I liked the appeal of using Chessie's bright color scheme. This 2-PAC was cataloged and produced after I left K-Line.
