K4698-0101   Adolphus Busch Business Car (16 in) Anheuser-Busch
    $114.95 ea.

This item is no longer offered for sale by MDK, Inc

These 16 inch, extruded aluminum passenger cars reproduce in detail three time periods of the Business Car first commissioned by Anheuser-Bush in 1954.

Built by the Wabash Shops, the Adolphus Business Car was referred to as a “silver chariot.” The nickname describes its luxurious accommodations as well as the lightweight silver stainless steel with which the car was manufactured.

Eleven years later the Adolphus Car was sold to the Pennsylvania Railroad. Once at the PRR, a window stripe and keystone herald were added. Subsequently, this same silver Business Car became the property of Amtrak.

These O Scale reproductions are manufactured from sleek, aluminum metal. Like their luxurious counterpart, these business cars are complete with interior and exterior details. In addition to an interior overhead illumination the distinctive business car observation platform is detailed with metal handrails, operating marker lights, and an opening door.
