Santa Fe 'Super Chief'

One of the best know streamliner trains of all time, the Super Chief reached the height of its prestige in the late 1940s and early 1950s when it received new diners, sleepers, dome cars and the EMD F-Series Diesels. Among the passenger cars delivered by Pullman-Standard were twelve 'Indian' Series duplex roomette sleepers, seven new thirty-six seat dining cars and six unique Pleasure Domes. The luxuriously appointed stainless steel passenger cars of the Super Chief era are reproduced here in prototypical detail, featuring authentic Native American inspired names and individually designed interiors with patented overhead StreamLighting.

The powerful F-Units that led the Super Chief in the late 1940s transported passengers between Chicago and Los Angeles in record time. Featuring the stunning War Bonnet livery, the Super Chief Diesels are reproduced in accurate proportions. The sound of Lionel RailSounds, combined with the control of TrainMaster Command Control, will convince any model engineer that he is highballing down the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe.
