The die cast Hudson engine and tender are both loaded with incredible details that you won't find on other O Gauge Steam Engines.
Details include turned metal stanchions to hold the handrails in place. No detail was too small to capture, including the swinging brass bell, the coupler lift chain and opening boiler front.

Operating marker lights on both engine and tender, signal this engine's high quality. The digital whistle recreates the sounds of steam railroading while the smoke unit produces just the right amount of smoke.

This Hudson Steam Engine also includes both a Scale die cast coupler and an O Gauge die cast coupler to allow for either scale or O Gauge rail operation.

The Boston & Albany, a subsidiary of the New York Central, relinquished their autonomy to the NYC when the NYC revealed plans to acquire a parallel railroad which would have left the B&A with only local rail traffic.

Of all the railroads in the NYC system, the Boston & Albany retained the strongest identity. Because of strong local loyalty, the B&A locomotives were lettered with 'Boston & Albany' as oppsed to NYC.
