Conrail Engine No. 2943, named Spirit of Conrail

This 25th Anniversary engine was released from the Pavonia Shops on March 19, 2001. In a stroke of bad luck, it was struck by a freight car in Morrisville PA less than a week later, bending the frame. It was sent to Norfolk Southern Juniata Shop for evaluation. Choose from a matching Bay Window Caboose or an N5C.

Once released, this locomotive correctly was equipped with dynamic brakes. There was also a non TMCC/RS version released to Conrail employees only, which externally was identical to the public version.
