The Golden State Passenger Train was a cooperative effort among three major railroads to provide transcontinental luxury rail service. The Rock Island and Southern Pacific initiated 'the world's most luxuriously equipped train in the world' in 1902 with 68 hour service from Chicago to Los Angeles.

After dieselization of the Golden State in 1946, which reduced the travel time to 48 hours, the Pennsylvania Railroad provided Pullman through service from New York to Chicago. Although Pennsy's participation ended in 1951, the Rock Island and Southern Pacific continued Golden State service until 1968.

Each Golden State car is reproduced here in full O Scale with a strict eye for prototypical accuracy and a unique interior specific to that car's body style.

We reproduced the real 72 foot passenger cars in full O Scale (18 inches). That's 18 long inches of sleek extruded aluminum metal! The 18 inch cars require 42 inch diameter curves.
