Known by many as the world’s ultimate streamliner, a crimson carpet was rolled out for passengers of the New York Central’s 20th Century Limited, giving rise to the phrase “red carpet treatment.” The familiar “Lightning Stripe” livery extends from the nose of K-LINE’s F-3 Diesel Locomotive to the very end of the Observation car, as does the extra-fare opulence, luxurious detail and reliability experienced by the passengers of this 1938 streamliner. Die cast four-wheel trucks, fast-angle wheels and die cast metal couplers with hidden uncoupling mechanism ensure these cars operate as smoothly as the on-board accommodations between New York and Chicago.

I have always wondered why K-Line did not attached the people crossover tunnels on their Legacy F-7 diesels? This was the part that goes between the engines to the engines? Why were the parts were sent loose and the customer was provided instruction on how to attach these items.
