While the Eastern Seaboard main lines from New York to Washington were electrified, the Pennsylvania used large road diesels, like the E-8s, to lead trains once they headed west. These locomotives are ideal for the Jeffersonian train on its New York to St Louis run after it leaves our nation?s capital. The engines feature the standard in model train control and sound technology, Lionel TrainMaster Command Control and RailSounds. Other operational features included are smoke and electrocouplers.
