The idea for this car came from the Lionel post war 6469 Liquefied Gas Tank Car produced in 1963. Like Lionel
engineers at the time, I was able to design a completely new freight car using existing parts and molds. The flatcar was an existing K691 type, the "tank" was created using extruded aluminum from the scale extruded aluminum tank cars that K-Line was producing at the time and then the "tank" was capped off on the ends with existing plastic bulkheads.

I also notice that for the road number on this item I used 12-13-50, which is my mother's birthday.
