The Spirit of ’76 train commemorates the founding of our country in 1776. The 13 Colonies took a stand, banded together and formed our great nation. While each state is part of the whole, pride in one’s state also runs deep. Each state is represented on a higly detailed, scale boxcar. The notable features on each car include a state map, a state flag and the signatures on the Declaration of Independence of the state delegation. These scale cars feature die cast trucks and load of separate details for superb operation and display. The State Boxcars will be sold in 3-PACs and will be released in the order that the states joined the Union. The exception is New York, which will be sold separately. Look for the first cars in this patriotic series this spring.

A matching RS-3 Diesel and Caboose are available to pull the Spirit of ‘76 train. The red, white and blue paint schemes of these units will inspire flag waving at every station. The engine features Lionel RailSounds, TrainMaster Command Control and Electrocouplers for realistic and simple operation. A conventional version of the locomotive with a horn is also available.

Relive the Spirit of ‘76!
