    K-LINE Collector's Club Member Exclusive. $125.00 ea.
K2499-0052HS

The scale model of this Fairbanks-Morse Trainmaster, a 2400hp diesel, recalls the nostalgia of the 1950s, while updating the detailing and operational features to the 21st Century. These have been detailed as never before. The K-LINE Trainmaster will feature prototypical screens at the front of the hood with visible fans, prototypical handrails with a drop step at each end.

The Virginian Railway had electrified a part of its railroad, so when it came time for dieselization in 1954, they were able to standardize with FM diesels. The powerful Trainmaster fit the bill and they eventually purchased 25 of the units. These units were all passed on to the Norfolk & Western after the N&W absorbed the Virginian in 1959.
